Which weight of chemical absorbent roll should I choose?
Lightweight rolls (160–185L absorbency) suit routine drips and light maintenance areas. Mediumweight rolls (140–160L) handle general spill response across chemical storage floors. Heavyweight rolls (166–190L) suit high-traffic areas or larger volume spills where you need maximum absorbency per metre before replacing the roll.
What is the difference between plain, SM, and SMS chemical absorbent rolls?
Plain rolls are single-layer polypropylene — the most economical option for routine use. SM (spunbond-meltblown) rolls add a tougher outer layer for better tear resistance in areas with foot traffic. SMS (spunbond-meltblown-spunbond) rolls are the strongest and most lint-free, suited for pharma, lab, and cleanroom environments where fibre shedding matters.
