Choose by where the water comes from. Roof tarps (square or rectangular) cover roof and ceiling leaks, the ceiling tile and framed diverters sit in the ceiling grid, and the hanging and wrap-around types collect pipe drips. Then pick a size that covers the wet area.
A leak diverter catches dripping water in a funnel-shaped tarp or panel and sends it through a drainage hose to a drain or collection container. The tarp is hung from straps or hooks beneath the leak. Check that hose and straps are included, because on several sizes they are sold separately.
It depends on the model. The 5' × 5' bucket kit, the 30" × 30" hook kit, the ceiling tile diverter and the framed ceiling diverter include a hose. The square and rectangular tarps and the pipe diverters are supplied without one, and the hose is sold separately.
