These pads have lightweight, mediumweight and heavyweight construction, with high absorbency and plain, meltblown or SMS options. Use universal pads when your facility handles mixed liquids — coolants, water, solvents, and oil in the same area — or when you're not sure what spilled. Oil-only pads repel water and only absorb hydrocarbons, so they won't work on coolant or water-based spills. If your machines run both oil and water-based coolant, universal pads are the safer stock to keep.
